Hello

Please note that we have always shared the settings below where SSL has to be enabled and the incoming and the outgoing server should be secure.emailsrvr.com

Non=SSL settings won’t work anymore as we prepare for the new EnsureMail for 2023.

If you are installing the mailbox from scratch, full instructions are at http://config.practicalhost.com

If you want to fix an existing installation, please make sure that your incoming and outgoing server is

secure.emailsrvr.com. Anything else will not work.

Of course, your name and email address should be yours and not in the image

Your existing account type could be POP3 and that’s OK if you want to keep as it is.

In More Settings then click the Outgoing Server Tab

Check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Check the button for "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"

Change Use the following type of encrypted connection to SSL for both the Incoming and Outgoing servers.
Next, change the port numbers to match the image below.

If your account is IMAP, Incoming server (IMAP) should be 993
If your account is POP3, Incoming server (POP3) should be 995

For outgoing server, if you do not have SSL on your version of Outlook, select AUTO. Do not select SSL/TLS, that will not work

If you are still unable to send mail, change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to one of the following 25, 587 or 8025

If you have an older Outlook, the Advanced Settings could look like this. Make sure the check box for “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is enabled.

Click OK

Click Next. Outlook will now attempt to send a test message using the settings we have just put in. If everything was entered correctly, the message will send out successfully.

If the error is that you cannot send mail, try any of the following ports for outgoing mail 25, 587, 465 or 8025 as mentioned earlier

Remember, that if you want to setup your account from scratch, the instructions are at http://config.practicalhost.com
